UNITY IS THE RESULT OF THE HAND OF GOD!

King Hezekiah had the right idea in 2 Chronicles 30 to call out to the people of Israel to return to the Lord and consecrate themselves. In previous times their were not enough priest to consecrate themselves to perform the duties of sacrifice during the Passover which was on the 14th day of the second month. Nowadays that would be Valentines day.

When Hezekiah sent couriers throughout Israel to adjure them to return to the Lord not everyone in Israel responded but a few. The people of Judah (worship) however had a supernatural hand that was ministering unity amongst them and now we have a picture of how to access the revelation of the unity of the saints. Unity should be the goal of the Body of Christ in this hour. Unity is the eye opener the world has been waiting for. The people of God who have come under the Banner of the Lion of the Tribe of Judah and have responded to the call to repentance and sanctification will walk in the anointing that brings unity amongst them and ushers them all into the Mind of Christ. Unity is a byproduct of holiness. 2 Chron 30:10 “The couriers went from town to town in Ephraim and Manasseh, as far as Zebulun, but people scorned and ridiculed them. 11 Nevertheless, some from Asher, Manasseh and Zebulun humbled themselves and went to Jerusalem. 12 Also in Judah the hand of God was on the people to give them unity of mind to carry out what the king and his officials had ordered, following the Word of the LORD.” We can do nothing apart from Jesus. We need the revelation of His Love to hear His Word and to carry it out! When we turn from sin and allow ourselves to be sanctified and set apart we find that the byproduct of that is unity in the Spirit and a love and ability to walk in mercy and grace concerning all things.

The prayer of Jesus in John 17 for unity amongst those whom the Father had given Him is really a call to repentance and sanctification that will move the hand of God and bring the favor that releases the anointing for unity? The byproduct of repentance and sanctification being the ability to walk humbly before the Lord and each other which provokes unity and the Mind of Christ. Jesus prayed 13 “I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of My joy within them. 14 I have given them Your Word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. 15 My prayer is not that You take them out of the world but that You protect them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. 17 Sanctify them by the Truth; Your Word is Truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. 19 For them I sanctify Myself, that they too may be truly sanctified. 20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in Me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in Me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that You have sent me. 22 I have given them the glory that You gave me, that they may be one as We are one— 23 I in them and You in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that You sent me and have loved them even as You have loved Me.” Jesus says in 19 of John 17 “For them I sanctify Myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.” In saying this He is taking the initiative and leading by example. In verse 12 the hand of the Lord was on the people of Judah because they had humbled themselves and answered the call to return to the Lord. They slaughtered the Passover Lamb in the second month on the 14th day and now were holy and consecrated before the Lord and of one mind. What a beautiful picture of the Lord ministering His favor to the Body of Christ! What we cannot do in and of ourselves to find favor amongst ourselves to live in peace and love one another only the Lord can do for us with His Holy Spirit by allowing His hand to be upon the Body of Christ that is pursuing repentance and sanctification by the Blood of the Lamb and the revelation of unity! It may be no accident that Valentines day is on the 14th day of the second month! Jesus was saying then as He is now, “won’t you love Me and be my valentine, and won’t you love each other and be each others valentines by setting yourselves apart and committing to one another to be holy and set apart and sanctified before the Lord so that He may rest His hand upon you to reveal the Mind of Christ concerning the unity of the saints that will make Jesus and his church more appealing to a lost and dying world. Those who respond to the “Love of Jesus” are the Joy that was set before Him and in John 17 this was the way to the fullest measure of Joy! Bless you all who choose to be holy as He is Holy and to be set apart and sanctified so that we may share in the fullness of His Joy with the hand of God resting upon us in unity and love!
